Dialing Internal Extensions

• Pickup the phone handset and wait until you hear the dial-tone
• Dial the 4-digit extension of the room or person you’re trying to reach

Dialing Outside Phone Numbers

• Pickup the phone handset and wait until you hear the dial-tone
• Press 9 and wait to hear dial-tone again
• Press 9 again and then the number you’re trying to reach
  • If dialing a 916 area code phone number you must include the 916 when dialing the number

Checking Voicemail Messages

• Pickup the phone handset and wait until you hear the dial-tone
  • If you have voicemail messages waiting for you in your mailbox, the system will prompt you with how many new messages are waiting for you in your mailbox
• Press * followed by your extension number to enter your voice mailbox
• If prompted for a password, input your extension number
  • Note: If you put in your extension number as the password and the voice prompt says "invalid password" please submit a help desk ticket to the IT department. The IT staff will need to reset your voicemail mailbox password.
• Voice prompted instructions will be played at the end of each message.

Programming Voicemail Personal Greeting, Call Waiting and Password

Enter phone programming mode

• Pickup the phone handset and wait until you hear the dial-tone
• Press * followed by your extension number
• If prompted for a password, input your extension number
  • Note: If you put in your extension number as the password and the voice prompt says "invalid password" please submit a help desk ticket to the IT department. The IT staff will need to reset your voicemail mailbox password.
• Press 5 to program your phone station options:
  • Press 1 = Personal greeting options
  • Press 3 = Call waiting options
  • Press 5 = Mailbox Password options

1 -  Select personal greeting

• You're able to record up to three different personal greeting messages
• Select the desired greeting number: 1, 2, or 3
• The system will prompt you to re-record, delete, hear, or select as the current greeting by pressing #
  • Press 1 to record personal greeting - Begin recording at the tone; press 1 to stop. The new personal greeting automatically replaces the previous greeting. (Note: Your mailbox will be disabled if no personal greeting exists)
  • Press 2 to delete personal greeting - When prompted, press 2 again to confirm deletion. (Warning: Don't delete all of your greetings. If you do, the system will turn off your mailbox until there is at least one greeting again)

  • Press 3 to hear current personal greeting

3 - Call waiting

• Press 1 to Enable call waiting
• Press 0 to Disable call waiting

5 - Password

The password will apply to station programming, voice mail retrieval and certain other features (when activated)

• Press 1 to Enter a new password
• Press 2 to Delete current password
• Press 3 to Hear current password

For simplicity, please make the password that same as your extension number.
